One-on-One Consultations
A private audience with The Princess
The woman was born to teach - to move clients forward in their creative businesses.
Forward can diverge in many directions:
- Defining vision
- Editing shots
- Generating new shots
- Developing marketing tools
To expedite needs and goals, Selina will have a front-end conversation before booking an initial appointment. This is a no-fee, 20-minute call that allows an opportunity to see if or how her services could be of help.
If at the end of the initial call, an appointment is booked, a first meeting agenda will be jointly developed.
The initial meetings are set for two hours and all of the time is used for the work at hand. A great deal of ground is covered and clients are always encouraged to record the session.
After the initial working session, ongoing consultation services are explained and offered as needed. All major projects are front-ended by a discussion about the goal of the project and the scope of the proposal.
Face-time with clients is truly special and appreciated. It is in a privilege and an honor that so many clients choose to come back year after year.

A few words from the other side of the One-on-One
"I have worked with Selina on all aspects of my photography and marketing. First she helped me plan and edit new shoots, then she gave her input through the creation of a new identity system, a new portfolio and the website.
Her supportive attitude, keen eye and strong opinions were essential to me through each phase, and she kept me focused and moving forward.
We met out goals (to produce all of the above and to obtain new representation), and the website was featured in this year's PDN annual."
Lise Metzger - Falls Church, VA
"Once Selina and I started to work together, I began to shoot steadily. Selina kept me on track, offering consistent guidance. I started creating a few new images and ended up with an entirely new vision!
I love where the book build process took me. It made me so happy when I realized that we ended up using very few of the original picks as the rest is all new work. The experience with Selina was amazing and for the first time I feel my work has a cohesive look."
Karineh Gurjian-Angelo - NYC, NY
"Selina was pivotal in the complete rebirth of my photography career. Her methods and advice contributed confidence and enthusiasm throughout the process. From soul searching to marketing she provided the support and encouragement that resulted in the adoption of a fresh new philosophy. She focused my vision and constructed the process with which to share it with the world."
Ira Kerns - Tiverton, RI
"For me, working with selina was like doing yoga. I went where it hurt and to places I didn't want to go. The results, I'm now a flexible + a re-invented photographer. Also, I've done a lot of therapy in my time, mostly after my divorce. Working with Selina felt like looking at what did not work anymore. Not always fun. At times I really didn't even like her. I call her my Phototherapist. I believe we need to stop before we go....stopping with Selina was the all time best career move I've made.Check it out. Now, I love her."
Robert Kent - Van Couver, BC
"Selina reviewed all my important work of the last 5 or 10 years. She saw that there was a clear divergence of style happening and that the old work, as good as it was, needed to go in order to give the marketplace a clear message of whom I was.
Over the course of 3 months, working closely with my agent, we developed an entirely new look based on the current trajectory of my vision. She edited, sequenced, and suggested a layout.
My agent and I would respond and we tweaked the book until everyone was happy. She suggested a new method of presentation, we researched portfolio possibilities here in NY, and we came up with a solution that I am very happy with.
Together we worked on a promotion strategy that would deliver our message to the art buyers and art directors. It is still too soon to see any results from our work, it has really only been a few weeks, however we have already Succeeded in getting some new interest going.
Selina was able to look at the work without any judgment of where I had been, how I was perceived out in the world. She brought a fresh and unbiased eye to the work, which I was unable to do. In methodical and thorough manner, turned my vision into a plan that we could implement."
David Harry Stewart - NYC, NY
"While working on a new portfolio with Selina I began to see myself, as a photographer, and my work in a new way: the worksheets made me think about what I was doing; the way that we worked together to develop new images changed my shooting process; and I began to have a new respect for the power of the images."
